Don't Miss The 2009 GnomeFrenzy Halloween Costume Contest! |
I
don’t think I’m alone in my feelings about Halloween. I love it and I’m not ashamed
to admit it. Honestly, I’m like a 10 year old when October rolls around every
year. I get excited about all the leftover candy and all the kids that come by our house dressed in adorable little costumes. Now I’m not afraid to admit that
with all the excitement, I too enjoy getting dressed up. It just never gets old for me.
I’ve worn lots of costumes in my day and have gone out of my way to embarrass myself a few too many times to count. I can even tell you from experience that I don’t make an attractive woman….just take my word for it. One of my favorites is a 70’s costume that I got years ago. I’d post pictures for you, but I’d never be able to run for political office in the future. Just kidding, the pictures are great and only mildly embarrassing. In recent years, along with my fondness for garden gnomes, I’ve wanted to so badly to dress up like a garden gnome for Halloween. I really have no shame and would love do so. My inability to sew, has unfortunately limited my costume options as I’m only left with what available in stores and on the internet.
As
it turns out, there aren’t a lot of places to get a garden gnome costume. It seems that our enjoyment of these crazy little creatures hasn’t yet reached the costume makers of the world. From my searching however, I was able to find a few great options for kids and adults. I also came across a few do-it-yourself costumes for those of you capable of such handiwork.
If you share my fondness for garden gnomes and plan for your next Halloween or costume party to be wearing a Garden Gnome Costume, you should check out the following links:
