Do You Need a Name For Your New Gnome? Perhaps you just need a Gname?
An often overlooked and underappreciated part of being a gnome owner is the process of naming your garden gnome. I've seen it before and it needs to be addressed. I get this question quite a bit, and I’m not afraid to tell you how I feel about it. Gnomes should have names, and not just any name. A gnome deserves a proper “gnome gname”. Gnomes should be treated like part of the family. You wouldn't have a dog without a name would you? Having a nameless gnome in your home or garden is no way to live.
I can hear you asking....'You're so smart? How do you go about naming your garden gnome?' It's a great question and I'm glad you asked. For no particular reason, I happen prefer gnomish names. I’ve seen it quite often and it's just not my style to give a gnome a common name like Bill, or Joe. Lots of people prefer this and if you do that’s fine, it’s just not me. If that’s what you like, then you probably don’t need much help from us. However, if you’re more like me, I've taken the liberty and done some research for you and have compiled a list of some names to start with. Have a look below and choose one or change one up a bit and create a new one. Gnomes are supposedly older and traditionally European, so I like a more old school Euro name.....or just a completely outlandish mystical name (as you'll see below).

I understand that some of these names are kind of out there, but remember, the point is to have fun with your gnome. Don't be afraid to go crazy. We're talking about a mythical creature, so there's no limits to naming your garden gnome. If you've read through the list and aren't really digging any of these and no new names come to mind, we've also dug deeper and have done some more research to find a few other sites which can make gnome name suggestions. Feel free to give one of these a try:
I hope you get my point and now see the importance in naming your gnome. If you don't name it, your just dooming your gnome to a boring lifeless existence as just a piece of yard decor. So please, I beg you, don't insult your gnome like that.
Now that you know all about Gnome names, it's time to get yourself a new gnome. Just choose from any of our styles of Gnomes:
